Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.
The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, including a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
